Welcome to Slow Sauce
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set out how you may use our website and purchase our products. By placing an order through our site, you agree to these Terms, so please read them carefully before ordering.

We make naturally fermented food products in small batches, using traditional and local ingredients. Our products are intended for culinary use only.
2. Ordering & Payment
All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of payment. Prices are listed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
We accept payment via Shopify’s secure checkout system. Once your order is placed, you’ll receive an order confirmation email.
If we are unable to fulfil your order (for example, due to stock levels or production issues), we’ll contact you and issue a full refund.
3. Shipping
We currently ship across the UK using tracked services.
Dispatch times are typically 3–5 working days, but as a small producer, occasional delays may occur — particularly during peak fermentation or market periods.
You’ll receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched. We can’t be held responsible for delays once your parcel is in the courier’s hands, but we’ll always help where we can.

4. Returns & Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we can’t accept returns unless an item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

5. Product Information
All our products are made using natural fermentation processes. Variation in colour, taste, or texture is completely normal — it’s part of the process.
We list all ingredients clearly on each label. If you have any allergies or intolerances, please read the ingredient list carefully before purchase.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including text, logos, product names, and images — is the property of Slow Sauce / The Koji Kitchen Ltd unless otherwise credited.
You may not reproduce, copy, or use our content or branding without written permission.
7. Privacy
We respect your privacy and handle all personal information in accordance with UK GDPR.
We never share your data with third parties except where required to fulfil your order (for example, with our courier or payment processor).

8. Liability
We do our best to ensure our products reach you in perfect condition and are safe for consumption when used as intended.
However, Slow Sauce shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use or misuse of our products or website.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect new laws, changes to our business, or improved clarity. The latest version will always be available on our website.

Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Scotland.
