Slow Sauce – Refunds & Returns
We’re a small fermentation kitchen making every batch with care, time, and a bit of microbial magic. Because our products are perishable and naturally fermented, we can’t accept returns for change of mind or taste — but if something isn’t right, we’ll always do our best to make it right.
Damaged or Faulty Items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, please email hello@slowsauce.co.uk within 7 days of receiving it.
Include your order number, a short description of the issue, and a clear photo if possible. We’ll sort out a replacement or refund straight away.
Perishable Goods
Due to the nature of our products (fermented sauces, misos, and shoyus), we’re unable to accept returns once items have left our kitchen.
However, if you believe a product has spoiled or is unsafe to consume, contact us immediately — we may request a photo or batch code so we can investigate and ensure quality across the batch.
Order Errors
If you’ve accidentally ordered the wrong item or entered an incorrect address, please get in touch as soon as possible at hello@slowsauce.co.uk.
If your order hasn’t yet shipped, we’ll do our best to amend it. Once dispatched, we can’t recall or redirect parcels.
Refund Process
Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 working days.
We’ll let you know as soon as your refund has been issued.
EU & UK Consumer Rights
If you’re in the UK or EU, you have the right to cancel certain non-perishable online purchases within 14 days of receipt under consumer protection law. As our products are classed as perishable food items, this right does not apply — but your rights regarding faulty or misdescribed goods are fully protected.
